AbstractAbstract
[en] Intermediate-mass fragment production has been studied in 3He- and 14N-induced reactions from threshold to energies well above the total nuclear binding energy. Inclusive excitation function measurements are analyzed in terms of equilibrium, non-equilibrium and projectile-like components. These data are supported by coincidence studies using the angle-correlated fission fragment technique. Evidence for multifragmentation at total bombarding energies above 1 GeV are presented and compared with model calculations based on both instantaneous and sequential decay
