AbstractAbstract
[en] The discrepancy exists in the treatment of reliability data of continuous type by commonly used methods. The theoretical differences are shown in this work. An improved method is proposed based on the criterion of the uniformly maximum variance unbiased estimation. The formulae called consistent method are derived. By this method approximately identical results can be obtained either on the reliability function, cumulative hazard rate function or on the maximum likelihood estimation. For simplicity the derivation is based on exponential distribution. It has been proven that the consistent method is completely applicable for exponential type of distributions, including Weibull and Gamma distribution, and partially applicable to nonexponential type of distributions
