AbstractAbstract
[en] Bone scintigrams with 99mTc-phosphate complexes of 4619 cases were reviewed concerning the extraosseous accumulation. Extraosseous accumulation was demonstrated in 74 cases (16%). Forty-seven of 74 cases (64%) showed extraosseous accumulation of neoplasms, and 27 (36%) showed extraosseous accumulation of non-neoplastic conditions. Calcifications were detected in 15 cases on X-ray study (including computed tomography). Possible mechanism of extraosseous accumulation was discussed. It is important to pay attention to the extraosseous accumulation on bone scintigram. (author)
