[en] Thermal decomposition of diethylmercury on the surface of mercury telluride in the presence of diethyltellurium at 100-450 deg C has been investigated. It is shown that addition of diethyltellurium decreases the rate of diethylmercury decomposition. Joint decomposition of the substances takes place by two independent reactions. Thermal decomposition occurs on the surface of mercury telluride in hydrogen flow in the adsorption layer according to molecular mechanism
