AbstractAbstract
[en] The Australian Gas Association has recently undertaken a survey of methane losses and carbon dioxide emissions associated with the full fuel cycle of the Australian natural gas industry. Preliminary results for the survey are presented. Estimated methane losses of less than 2% of total Australian natural gas production are compared with overseas experience. Future trends and the potential for a reduction in losses over the next 10-15 years are considered. 18 refs., 6 tabs., 4 figs
