[en] Scottish Nuclear has continually developed its arrangements for dealing with a nuclear emergency in a climate of increased public awareness. During recent years the company has produced a computerised Nuclear Emergency Information System for use during an emergency and is now constructing purpose built off-site centres for its two nuclear sites. Significant events in the last decade and the consequential developments in nuclear emergency preparedness are discussed. (author)
