AbstractAbstract
[en] It was found through some radiation injury cases that contact and infrared thermography can be well applied to the diagnosis of local radiation injuries. Two actual radiation accidents are reported where a 20-30 Gy dose injury and an about 1 Gy dose injury, resp., occurred. The second case involved a person who grabbed a used detector by accident in the nuclear reactor and held it for several minutes. The injured hand was monitored with thermogrammetric techniques, immediately after the accident and in follow-up examinations. The results of these examinations are presented in detail.
