AbstractAbstract
[en] We propose a method to evaluate the pressure, which works without derivatives of coupling constants, and is valid on large lattices. In SU(2) we study the finite volume effects. For lattices with spatial extent Nσ> or approx.15 these effects are found to be negligible. In SU(3) we obtain with this method a positive and continuous pressure. Non-perturbative corrections to the β-function are investigated and turn out to be important for the energy density, in particular for the latent heat. (orig.)
