[en] A methodology is proposed to investigate neutron spectra in such a way which is similar to human thinking. The goal was to save experts from tedious, mechanical tasks of browsing a large amount of signals in order to recognize changes in the underlying mechanisms. The general framework for detecting features of incore neutron spectra with a rulebased methodology is presented. As an example, the meaningful peaks in the APSDs are determined.
