AbstractAbstract
[en] Magnetic field structure in a high-current Z-pinch plasma is investigated by the Faraday method. It is shown that primary charge current (up to 3 MA) flows to the axial region of the pinch (∼6 mm in diameter). The pattern of magnetic field induction distribution points to the existence of local reverse peripheral induction currents (0.3-0.5 MA) around the main pinch. Maximum average value of the magnetic field localized in the vicinity to the peripheral currents, was ∼ 5.6 MGs
