AbstractAbstract
[en] A critical review of some results appeared in the literature, related with the variation of the gap as a function of temperature, is made. It is found that the Varshni equation is a good approximation and that the negative Debye temperatures, found in some works, are but fitting shortcomings; the works of Kou and Seehra [Phys. Rev. 18 (1978) 7062], Seehra and Seehra [Phys. Rev. 19 (1979) 6620], and Varshni [Physica (Utrecht) 34 (1967) 149] are taken as examples. (Author)
