[en] There are statutory limitations on exposure to radon daughters at places of work in the United Kingdom. They apply when the concentrations exceed a certain value. Extensive measurements of radon levels in affected areas of the country are described, the results are summarised, and the degree of applicability of the regulations is determined. Radon remedial measures are identified. The future programme and prospects are explored. (author)
