[en] In this review, the authors explain that the low dose rate curietherapy is the best method for many local tumors (ORL, gynecological and anorectal cancers). Actually, its directions are known, the high dose rate curietherapy is still a new technique, but seems attractive. Another possible way is the pulsed dose rate curietherapy. Theoretically, this technique unites the advantages of two others. This technique is experimented in two french hospitals
