AbstractAbstract
[en] The Probabilistic Human Reliability Analysis (PHRA) performed as a part of the Paluel Nuclear Power Plant PSA is based on more than 200 simulator tests performed at EDF. These tests constitute an outstanding source of qualitative and quantitative information about operator behaviour during accidental situations. With such a basis, the PHRA yielded interesting teachings for the improvement of training and man-machine interface. However, PHRA methods still have noticeable limitations. Progress could be made by additional data collection, validation of the methods, and limited scope modelling of operator behaviours. However, one should not address Human Reliability only with PHRA methods. A comprehensive, multidimensional approach is necessary. It should be based on a thorough knowledge of man complexity, and, therefore, on Human Sciences
