AbstractAbstract
[en] The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has called for the individual plant examinations (IPEs) to be living documents to reflect changes to the plant and its support groups, e.g., operations. This paper addresses how this objective could be met. Currently, some utilities are using probabilistic risk assessment/IPE to evaluate the risk significance of plant modifications and equipment changes before deciding what and when to implement changes. In an environment of improved maintenance, equipment influences are becoming less significant, and human activities are thus becoming relatively more important. Therefore, more thought must be given to the incorporation of human-induced changes into the IPEs
