AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper describes the creep rupture properties of advanced 316 steel (316FR) base metal and its weldments at 550 C--650 C, and fatigue properties of those at 550 and 600 C. The 316FR base metal showed excellent creep rupture life which was from ten to a hundred times longer compared with conventional type 316, 304 stainless steels. The rupture strengths of two types of weldments showed the same tendency as base metal. The rupture ductility of weld metals also was much higher than conventional type 308, 316 weld metals. Low-cycle fatigue properties of base metal and weldment also were compared. Moreover, this paper describes the effect of chemical elements on strength and ductility of weld metals
