AbstractAbstract
[en] Experimental data on the fusion cross sections and the average angular momentum of the compound nucleus for the reactions 32S + 100Mo and 36S + 96Mo are analyzed on the basis of the coupled-channels method. It is shown that transfer channels with positive Qreac are important in order to obtain a correct description of the data. Intermediate couplings between excited states change the shape of the barrier distribution, making it closer to the shape obtained in the phenomenological Stelson model. 22 refs., 4 figs., 2 tabs
