AbstractAbstract
[en] The hydrogen interaction with R3Ni6AlGa alloys has been studied. As a rule, the initial alloys are two-phase samples containing intermetallic compounds, crystallizing in the Ca3Ag8 (R = Y, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho) or the CeNi3 (R = Pr, Nd, Er) type structures as major constituents. Hydrogenation takes place under 0.1 MPa hydrogen pressure and leads to the formation of hydrides with 0.59-0.95 wt.% H. It is accompanied by an isotropic expansion of the structures. The hydrides obtained desorb the main part of the hydrogen in the 300-400 K temperature range. (orig.)
