AbstractAbstract
[en] The USAEC programme organization on radiation treatment of marine products is described. Various elements of the programme including microbiology, facility design, construction and economics are reviewed and analyzed. The importance of the Cl. botulinum, type E, question is discussed as well as the design, capabilities and proposed use of the soon-completed marine products pilot plant, located at Gloucester, Massachusetts.
