[en] The data on nuclear power engineering status in Bulgaria are given. The only Bulgarian NPP (six power units) generates more than 50% of the total electric energy produced. The first two power units are shutdown for reconstruction and the fifth unit should be shutdown for two years for steam generator replacement. The low level of NPP operation, which require for the Western countries participation in realization of engineering assistance, is noted
