AbstractAbstract
[en] A review of recent ARGUS and CLEO results on hadronic decays of B mesons is presented. Inclusive measurements of b → c transitions are reviewed, with an emphasis on a recent determination of the branching ratio for B decays to baryons. For exclusive decays to charmed final states, examples of fits using the model of Bauer, Stech and Wirbel are discussed. A first look at upcoming tests of factorization in hadronic B decays is reported, using the channel B → Dp. Assuming factorization, a recently completed study of B → DS(*) D(*) modes allows the extraction of the DS decay constant. Searches for rare hadronic decays are reaching the level of sensitivity required for observation of b → u or Penguin modes. Limits at or below the level of predictions are presently available, in some cases with tantalizing hints for possible signals. Finally, the latest results on B0-B-bar0 oscillations are reported.
