AbstractAbstract
[en] An increase of line average electron density was observed in several experiments in CASTOR tokamak, namely in the lower hybrid current drive (LHCD) discharges and in a limiter biasing (BL) experiments. Such behaviour of the density can be attributed to an improvement of particle confinement. A simple code is used to estimate the particle confinement time τp and a weight coefficient is introduced to evaluate an effect of the recycling at the limiter, which is a significant source of particles.
