AbstractAbstract
[en] Subsequently, investigation was carried out centering around International Nuclear Information System (INIS) and relatively easily available journals of academic societies. The total number of literatures retrieved in INIS was about 2700. As the overall tendency, the articles regarding the analysis of nuclear fuels and reactor materials decreased, and those related to the analysis of environmental samples increased. This is because the analysis technologies accumulated so far have become to be able to cope with general analysis needs. Also the change of atomic energy policy in advanced countries exerted large influence to the research on analysis. The advance of equipment analysis methods from 1989 to the first half of 1993 is summarized. The recollection by 17 chemists commemorating 40 years anniversary of New Brunswick Laboratory in USA, the ICP-AES quantitative analysis of rare earth elements in uranium and others are reported regarding nuclear fuels. As reactor materials, zirconium alloys, nickel base heat resistant alloys and graphite are introduced. In environment, there are many kinds of artificial radioactive nuclides, though the amount is very small, which were released by nuclear explosion experiment and reactor accidents. Actinoids, technetium and iodine are reported. (K.I.) 85. refs
