[en] The aim of this work is to evaluate the Italian contribution to the anthropogenic emissions of CO₂, on the basis of a comparative analysis of international literature on methodologies and estimates. Adapting to Italian energy data the methodology proposed by the IPCC/OECD working group on GHG emissions, the 1990 net total amount of carbon emissions - international bunkers included - is 117.3 TgC, corresponding to about 430 Mtons of CO₂.
