AbstractAbstract
[en] The aim of this work is to evaluate the Italian contribution to the anthropogenic emissions of CO2, on the basis of a comparative analysis of international literature on methodologies and estimates. Adapting to Italian energy data the methodology proposed by the IPCC/OECD working group on GHG emissions, the 1990 net total amount of carbon emissions - international bunkers included - is 117.3 TgC, corresponding to about 430 Mtons of CO2. Oil and its derivatives are responsible for 65.3% of total emissions, while coal contributes for 13.7% and natural gas 21%
