[en] Particles in resonance electromagnetic fields experience a sharp increase of the recoil forces. The quasi-elastic and cooling action of the recoil has found application in traps and optics of particles. This paper aims at drawing attention to the vortical recoil action; it can dominate and has peculiar features deserving interest for the application. (orig.)
