AbstractAbstract
[en] The production of the ZEIFERT firm (Germany) is described. It embraces a wide range of instruments for X-ray and gamma irradiation suitable for nondestructive analysis. The following devices are introduced: ERESCO 150/5 Be-300/5 (conventional and alternative-current) - with widest application; the last model of the series ERESCO MF (created in 1993) possessing all advantages of the alternative-current devices and having a direct-current cermet X-ray tube; the series ISOVOLT-Standard with direct-current stationary X-ray device working in the range 60 - 450 kV with cermet X-ray tubes; ISOVOLT-D for high stability X-ray (dosimetry); ISOVOLT 160TL - a mobile direct-current X-ray device; ISOVOLT MICRO - a multifocus device used in cases when a high resolution is necessary (100 - 200 kV); different systems for all kinds of X-ray spectroscopy and a fully automated evaluation of the image; gamma irradiation instruments with Ir- and Co-sources with appropriate shielding, automation and control; a total program for photographic exposure and development in X-ray spectroscopy. The creation of European standards in the field of irradiation techniques is still in progress. At the moment the French standards NF C 74 100 have the widest application. They concern electrical safety, shielding of X-ray and gamma radiation and irradiation devices parameters as focus spot size, X-ray tube tension, ability for overloading, etc. The ZEIFERT devices have certificates according to the French standards and possess due documents (V.K.)
