AbstractAbstract
[en] We discuss the technique used in cluster radioactivity experiments and present our results. We have measured the decay modes of 232 U and found that in 1950's the exotic emission of 24 Ne from 232 U was misinterpreted as spontaneous fission. We have revised rates previously reported for Ne radioactivity of 232 U, 234 U and 235 U. We have studied nuclear structure implications in the exotic decay of odd-A nuclei such as 233 U, 235 Ac and 231 Pa and, in the latter case, we have found for the first time emission of an odd-Z cluster, 23 F. We have investigated the exotic decay of 228 Th via oxygen emission. We try to understand analogies and differences between α-decay and cluster decay of odd-A nuclei. (Author)
