AbstractAbstract
[en] Adding urea during dissolution of U, UO2, and U3O8 in 12 M HNO3 suppresses the release of nitrogen oxides. However, the dissolution sharply decreases for metallic U (the maximal rate decreases by ∼2 times for a urea concentration of 30 g/liter), slightly decreases for UO2 (the dissolution decreases by 1.06 times for 20 g of urea per liter), and is practically unchanged for U3O8 (30-50 g urea per liter)
