AbstractAbstract
[en] Based on a province-wide survey of environmental external radiation indoor and outdoor radon concentrations and content of natural radionuclides in food and water, the population dose from the natural radiation sources has been estimated. The results show that the individual average doses from cosmic rays, terrestrial radiation, radon and thoron daughters, and internal exposure to natural radionuclides within the body are 303, 577, 1057 and 355 μSv · a-1, respectively. The annual average effective dose equivalent is 2292 μSv · a-1. The collective effective dose equivalent is estimated to be approximately 1.7 x 105 man · Sv
