AbstractAbstract
[en] Four experiments are in progress in the Large Electron Positron storage ring at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, in which collisions are observed resulting in the formation of the Z-boson, one of the carriers of the weak interactions. By means of analysis of these events the standard model of the electroweak interactions can be tested accurately. In this article it is described how the form of the Z-resonance is measured and which deductions can be made. The purpose is not only to give values to the measured parameters, but also to indicate how this measurement tests the standard model for an energy level which can not be realized in the present accelerators. 4 figs., 1 tab., 2 refs
