AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper presents a review of a research and development (R ampersand D) project being conducted for the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to evaluate the feasibility of on-line monitoring techniques for instrument calibration reduction in nuclear power plants. The project has shown that the calibration drift of most process sensors can be identified on line by monitoring the DC output of the sensors while the plant is at normal operating conditions. This can help identify the sensors that must be calibrated during refueling outages and limit the calibration effort to those sensors that have shown a significant drift
