AbstractAbstract
[en] The high-energy beam transport (HEBT) system for the Heavy-Ion Medical Accelerator in Chiba (HIMAC) is equipped with a high-level control system comprised of a control console with CRTs and rotary encoders and a low-level control system that manages individual equipment. Similar procedures and interfaces are used to control all HEBT equipment, from high level to extremely low level. Adopting the status-supervision concept, the operator can start or shutdown the entire HEBT system, or simultaneously operate individual constituent units. The control system and irradiation system exchange signals while the HEBT system supplies a beam to the irradiation system. (author)
