AbstractAbstract
[en] The direct final disposal of spent nuclear fuels involves the emplacement in containers, e.g. Pollux casks, and their permanent disposal in drifts. The IAEA requires surveillance measures for this concept. By the BGR the electromagnetic reflection method (EMR, underground radar) has been suggested for surveillance. It was tested for its suitability in the Asse salt mine on a rock-up of Pollux casks. (DG)
