[en] The high-level radioactive waste disposal project in the atomic energy development and the utilization program in Japan fixes it's aim to promote the enforcement body in 2000 and to operate the waste disposal at from 2030 to the middle of 2040. The abstract of items investigated in preparing was explained in the report. These items are the work project, enterprises, funds, the regional development, information, and legistlation. The promotion of the work project is premized on an assumption of a better understanding and cooperating of the people which need the fair information activity. The first important thing is to obtain the people's understanding of safety of the method on the basis of technologies. The second one is to construct the enforcement body and security of cost and to prepare the trustworthy system and plan. The third is a concrete plan which shows the benefit to set up the waste disposal in a place on the basis of the above conditions. The present conditions of other countries such as USA, Canada, Sweden, France, Switzerland, German, Finland, England, Holland, Belgium and Spain are explained. (S.Y.)
