AbstractAbstract
[en] This report summarizes the survey data during Jan. 1∼Dec. 31, 1995 on the radioactivities in foods and environments in Kanagawa Prefecture and the uranium level in the environment surrounding a nuclear fuel processing plant (Japan Nuclear Fuel Co., Ltd.: JNF). The subjects for the radioactivity survey were environments and food samples including rain water, tap water, agricultural and livestock products. Nuclide analysis by γ-ray spectrometry and the determination of spacial radiation dose rate were made for them and monitoring of uranium level was made for the subjects; river water and sediments, soil and seaweeds in estuary regions. Further, as a part of the national survey of radon level, monitoring of La-level started from May, 1995 in 5 regions of the prefecture. The measurement of indoor La-level was made for wooden houses, fire-proof wooden houses and mass-produced standardized houses. In addition, radioactivity was surveyed at every arrival of atomic powered ship in Yokosuka American Naval Base. The total of samples tested, including ordinary request samples was 308 in the year.
