AbstractAbstract
[en] The complex [Sm(C17H24O4)1.5(C2H5OH)2]n was isolated and characterised by elemental analysis, IR and UV studies. The various steps involved in the thermal decomposition of the complex have been analysed by using Piloyan and Novikova; Coats and Redfern and Horowitz and Metzger equations for evaluating kinetic parameters (E,Z and ΔS*). The complex is found to decompose in three well defined steps involving random nucleation mechanism. The intermediates formed during decomposition usually undergo further decomposition without remaining stable over a considerable range of temperature. (author)
