AbstractAbstract
[en] Nuclear techniques have been widely used in Thai industries and has increased gradually over the years. At present, about 240 licenses for a total activity of 180,045 curies of radioisotopes are issued to the users in industry. The nuclear techniques are mostly used for nondestructive testing of materials, thickness gauging and elemental analysis using the x-ray fluorescence technique. There is still a shortage of well-trained personnel in the Thai industries to supervise the proper use of nuclear instruments efficiently and safely. Decision making in using nuclear techniques is usually done by the foreign counterparts rather than their Thai partners
