[en] This report describe the technical status of commercial communication network (CCN) and application in NPPs. Communication network (CN) is required for effective information exchanges, enhancement of flexibility, and etc. CCN is developing to the trend of high-reliability, high-speed, standardization and integration. Each design element should be analyzed and evaluated as a portion of integrated design. CN in NPP applications is limited to the information processing and monitoring systems. Communication methods used in safety-related systems is the point-to-point link because of conservative approach to the requirements and verification problems. Chapter 1 discusses the purpose of CN, in chapter 2,the technology of CNN such as topology, protocol, media, inter-networking device, performance, standardization and equipment is described. In chapter 3, the status of application in NPP is analyzed and described regarding to structure and characteristics of CN.
