AbstractAbstract
[en] Natural chabazite zeolite was selected as the baseline treatment technology for the removal of fission products, namely 90Sr and 137Cs, from near-neutral-pH process wastewater and groundwater. The sorbent IONSIV reg-sign IE-911, a crystalline silicotitanate manufactured by UOP, was recently tested in this capacity and found to compare extremely well against the baseline material. This paper presents and compares the results of similar batch and column tests performed using both materials, and summarizes the physical and chemical characteristics of the sorbents
