AbstractAbstract
[en] KAERI is researching the liquid metal reactor design technology developmentfor the long-term Korea nuclear energy program. As apart of the program, safety analysis technology developmentis included. Containment is one of the most important safety features in nuclear power plant in the aspect of the ultimate safety, therefore, the study on the containment should be carried out with significance. In order to perform this task smoothly, the technical status on the liquid metal reactor containment design and analysis should be reviewed first. The differences in the aspect of the phenomena associated with the containment design basis accident are compared. Some papers concerning the liquid metal reactor containment analysis are reviewed. Representatives of the containment analysis code for liquid metal reactor are investigated in the aspect of brief modeling and applicability. CONTAIN-LMR code are reviewed separately, because this code is widely used in the liquid metal reactor containment analysis recently. The possibility of the improvement is also reviewed. As a results of the study, CONTAIN-LMR code is selected for LMR containment performance analysis. The feasibility for the code improvement are also identified through model review. (author)
