[en] Previous studies show that the possibility of propagation of a local fusion to the neighbouring assemblies after the emergency shutdown is only due to the possibility of being critical for the molten part. This study shows that it is possible to be again critical despite rod drop when 7 assemblies have melted. This simulation has been performed by using the codes Apollo and Moret. 2 configurations have been studied: i) an homogeneous configuration in which the corium is a mix of fuel and steel, and ii) a stratified configuration in which the corium is made up of a layer of steel above a layer of fuel. The second configuration is the most unfavourable because the layer of steel acting as a reflector increases the reactivity
