[en] Three scenaria for the development of the renewable energy resources in Bulgaria have been developed based on an acceptable macro-economical framework. The minimal (energy efficient) scenario recommends a fast implementation of energy efficient technologies and improvement of the fuel and energy consumption with expected effect after 2000. Intermediate scenario - introduction of new technologies for energy efficiency and energy resources diversification after 2005. The maximal scenario suggests a delay in the implementation of new technologies with possibilities for the consumption improvement after 10 years. The development of the renewable resources is calculated for each case. In the development of the total energy consumption the expected share due to renewable sources is 1.3 to 2.6%
