AbstractAbstract
[en] The influence of impurities of Pb2+ on the coloration curve under gamma irradiation, of five single mixed crystals of KCl1-xBrx, has been investigated. Also the impact of the dose rate, and the mixture proportions of the halides in the single crystals was examined. The appearance of F centers for a dose rate of 12.88 kGy/h, was independent of the quantity of Pb2+ , and varied according to the ratio KCl/KBr. At a proportion of 50% of each halogen the typical stages were observed. Meanwhile, if the dose rate is lower (3.22 kGy/h), the coloration depends of the quantity of Pb2+ . This dependence is maintained through out all halide proportions in the mixture. The behavior observed in these crystals is in agreement with the trap model for complementary defects F-centers.
