[en] The FOTIA project is in the advance stage of commissioning. The construction of high voltage column was started after a series of experiments on dummy column structure. There are many devices and instruments located in the high voltage terminal. The electrical power to these devices in supplied by a permanent magnet alternator driven by a long insulating shaft made of perspex material.
