AbstractAbstract
[en] The motivation for a study of kaons and antikaons in nucleus-nucleus collisions at low energies is its relevance for a determination of the nuclear equation of state. At high energy strangeness production is a probe which helps to differentiate between a hadronic and partonic fireball. Understanding the excitation function of both kaons and pions is an important ingredient in the interpretation of the strangeness enhancement observed at all energies. (author)
