[en] The topic of this study was the microstructure and mechanical properties at elevated temperatures of the low-alloy Cr-Mo steel. Examinations were carried out on the samples representative of the material used for the construction of pressure vessels for petroleum industry. Studies of the chemical composition, mechanical properties at the elevated temperatures and the microstructure in the start-up condition provide basis for future evaluation of a degradation of the examined material as a result of the exposure to the service conditions.
