[en] Isovector ΔT = 1 and ΔF = 1 M1 transitions between low-lying states in odd-odd N = Z nuclei and in the even-even nucleus ⁹⁴ Mo, respectively are discussed. The data on low spin states in the odd-odd nuclei ⁵⁴ Co and ⁴⁶ V investigated with the ⁵⁴ Fe(p,nγ)⁵⁴ Co and ⁴⁶ Ti(p,nγ)⁴⁶ V fusion reactions at the FN-TANDEM accelerator in Cologne are reported. The proton-neutron states of quasideuteron character are identified. The identification of the mixed-symmetry J^π = 1_sc⁺, 2_ms⁺ and 3_ms⁺ states in the nucleus ⁹⁴ Mo is reported. The predictions of the interacting boson model for the basic mixed-symmetry J^π = 1_sc⁺, 2_ms⁺ and 3_ms⁺ states agree with the observation. The similar physics of ΔT = 1 and ΔF = 1 M1 transitions is stressed. (authors)
