[en] The article describes the problem of radon accumulation in the residential buildings in Silesia (Poland) mining region. The measurements of radon concentration in above 100 buildings shown average value 56 Bq/m3 (range 7.5-362 Bq/m3). The relationship between the radon concentration in buildings and geological structure is presented. Author concludes that long-term monitoring of radon concentration in residential buildings in coal mining regions is necessary
