AbstractAbstract
[en] Commercial TLDs such as LiF:Mg,Ti (TLD-100), LiF:Mg,Cu,P (TLD- 100H), CaF2:Dy (TLD-200), CaF2:Mn (TLD-400), Al2O3 (TLD-500), 6 LiF:Mg,Cu,P (TLD-600H), 7 Lif:Mg,Cu,P (TLD-700H) and CaSO4:Dy (TLD- 900) have been investigated using a deuterium UV source. The intrinsic method was used to detect ultraviolet radiation (UVR). The trap depth and frequency factor was estimated using the initial rise method. TL intensity as a function of exposure time has also been studied. We observe TLD-500 to show high sensitivity to UVR while sensitivity of TLD-200 and TLD-400 to UVR is not detected. TLD-900 and TLD-100 are also sensitive to UVR, being less than that for TLD-500, showing good linearity with exposure to UV. TLD-100H shows superlinearity with increase in exposure. The possibility of using these phosphors as UV dosimeters will be reported. (author)
