[en] The Laboratory of Advanced Energy Systems at the Helsinki University of Technology (HUT) has the responsibility to educate experts on different fields of nuclear engineering. The laboratory offers a wide variety of courses ranging from radiation protection and nuclear engineering to fusion and plasma physics and renewable energy technologies. The current status of nuclear engineering education and its future challenges in Finland are discussed. (author)
